About The Artist
Angela DeCamp grew up in a standard middle class Indianapolis suburb. She spent most of her childhood sketching pictures of Orlando Bloom in her very private journal.
Angela's art training began with Herron School of Art and Design's Saturday School program. She then went on to receive her Bachelors of Fine Art from Harding University, Cum Laude.
Much of her work is inspired by relationships she’s made through her arduous, exciting, tumultuous, and fabulous quarter-life crisis: Kisses stolen over frosty glasses of Gorkha beer in the Himalayas, thoughts and emotions painstakingly repressed during difficult, late-night conversations, as well as the isolating experience of connecting with others in a society increasingly disconnected from each other in sincerity.
The goal of Angela’s artwork is to connect others with the world she experiences, and is unable to articulate in any other way.
Angela lives in Indianapolis with her cat (best friend) Athena. When she’s not in her studio, you might catch her drinking manhattans at the Brass Ring Lounge in Fountain Square.
